This past Monday, Yeezy and Adidas dropped the latest Yeezy Boost 700 V1 colorway called “Magnet.” So many thoughts came to mind when this colorway was announced back in July. One of those thoughts was that I was more than likely going to pass on it for the teal blue colorway. However, days ahead of its release, it was announced that it would be a Yeezy Supply exclusive. Basically, the shoe was going to be available on their website and only in the U.S. that exclusivity attracted me more to the shoe. So I obviously ended up buying them.
They are definitely a nice pair of shoes. They have the most combination of colors since the Waverunner, which is a plus. The silhouette is the same as the other 700 V1s. The differences between this colorway and the rest is they used a nylon material for the base of the shoe, while all six previous colorway a had a mesh material base. Also, the shoe has less 3m than the other colorways, but that isn’t really a minus for me.
I picked outfit pieces to compliment my Yeezy Boost 700 Magnet sneakers. I paired my Magnets with long grey socks and some orange neon shorts from Urban Outfitters, which matched the orange accents on the sole of the sneakers. I finished the look with a white vintage T-shirt from DKNY, purchased from a local thrift store.
I love a good dad sneakers and these are a definite cop. What are your thoughts on the Yeezy Boost 700 Magnet?
It’s been a HOT couple of days in Texas. Like over 100 degrees hot. To get through these hot days on the weekend, shorts have become my best friend. For a big portion of my 27 years on this earth, I haven’t been a big fan of shorts, even on the hottest days. But that has changed, obviously!
Shorts have become my best friend this summer. I’ve invested in my new friendship by purchasing several shorts from Urban Outfitters, like the ones featured in this blog. I fell in love with this UO geo print woven shorts, that I bought them in two colors. I’ll feature the other colorway at a later date. I paired these pink pair with a Chvrches concert tee and matching Yeezy 700 Boost in the inertia colorway. These shorts keep me cool on a hot summer day!
I am reviewing the Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 Geode! The Yeezy Boost 700 V2 Geode released on March 23 for $300. The Yeezy Boost 700 V2 Geode is a mixture of brown and gray tones. Check out my review to learn more about the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 Geode, which is on sales for retail or under retail on GOAT and StockX.
Spring is finally here but that doesn’t mean jackets are over. The temperature can drop in the evenings and a thin lightweight jacket like the one I’m featuring will keep you warm and stylish. I bought my jacket from DKNY two years ago and you can find a similar jacket at Target for a more affordable price than I paid for.
I paired my jacket with a brick colored tee from Forever 21. This tee is spring ready and gives my outfit a pop of color. For pants, I went with some grey plaid joggers from Forever 21. Joggers are around all year long and are a great alternative for pants when it gets hot in the spring months.
For shoes, I went with my New Balance 300 tan leather sneakers from Urban Outfitters. You can find similar shoes on the New Balance website. They are very comfortable and stylish, which makes them great for spring!
I completed my look with a black cap to match the jacket. Spring is a great inbetween when it comes to weather. Most days you’ll wear shorts, but some nights, you can add some outwear to your wardrobe without breaking a sweat.
I can’t wait to share other spring outfits. What are your thoughts on jackets for spring?

Corduroy blew up this past fall/winter and it looks like it is staying for spring, according to GQ. While corduroy hasn’t really gone anywhere, it doesn’t seem like it had been as big as it was this past fall. I saw corduroy on the website of every streetwear label I wear and it ended up invading my wardrobe.
I purchased this cool color block corduroy jacket from Urban Outfitters, along with the khaki corduroy pants. They have been great additions to my wardrobe, especially the jacket. It is a pretty cool statement piece!
I paired the jacket with the corduroy pants. I was originally hesitant to do this, but I think the corduroy on corduroy look came out pretty good.
I finished the look with a black and white striped tee from Forever 21 and Sk8-hi top Vans. Once upon a time a patched jacket and striped tee would probably be a no-no, but it is all about clashing nowadays, so why not?
I won’t be rocking these pieces as the weather gets warmer, but I wouldn’t mind wearing corduroy shorts. I just need to find me a good pair.
What are your thoughts on corduroy for spring?
Mickey Mouse, torn jeans and studs are just some of my favorite things, and they all came together for this look. Winter is almost coming to a close but that doesn’t mean the cold will be going away. Spring can some times have cold nights and my Mickey Mouse sweater will definitely work for those nights.
I copped the Mickey Mouse sweater at H&M. I rarely ever find anything for myself at H&M, but for some reason this sweater caught my attention. After trying it on, I decided it was a must! And it’s been a great addition to my wardrobe. I’ve gotten compliments from people when wearing it. You really don’t need to wear any other statement items when wearing this sweater.
I stayed with dark colors for this look. I paired the sweater with some grey torn jeans from Zara and some studded high top sneakers from Steve Madden that I haven’t worn in awhile. The torn denim and studded shoes contrast with the sweater, but they still definitely work together. It gives my outfit a bit of an edge to it. Haha.
What are your thoughts on the sweater? How would you style it?
