Stylin’ for Summer

Look 1

Look 2Summer days drifting away… Not! There are still 43 days left until fall, so this summer heat isn’t going anywhere. It can be tough dressing up when the temperatures are high. Most often than not, we find ourselves dealing with sweaty and sticky weather, but you can still look your best! It’s all in the colors and fabrics you choose to wear.

For this look, my boyfriend and I started with a light-weight white linen shirt from H&M. An essential for summer, linen tees are a better alternative to cotton, because it’s a breathable fabric.

Look 3

I paired my linen tee with torn gray skinny jeans. I’m not much of shorts guy, so jeans with holes help get me through the summer. There’s nothing wrong with blue jeans, but gray denim is a great alternative. Next I tied a J. Crew flannel around my waste. I enjoy a good flannel, but wearing one during a sunny day isn’t wise when trying to keep cool. Consider wearing it around your waste, it adds a little something extra to your look!

Finally, I accessorized the look with my go-to cap and low top chucks. The one thing to remember is that you can never go wrong with chucks (I prefer mine with some dirt on them).

Blue Jean Denim

On those cool summer evenings you can add a denim jacket like this one from American Eagle. Put it on or over your shoulders, a denim jacket is a must!

Whole Look

Put it all together and you’re stylin’ for summer!
