August Look Book

Standard

Last week, I had the opportunity to feature an editorial collaboration with Canali on my blog. It was a great opportunity with one of the great luxury menswear brands. If you have read it, check it out!

Due to my collaboration, I had to stall my usual monthly look book to this week, so here it is. For the month of August, my looks were all about plaid. With fall just around the corner, my looks were a nod to the cooler weather to come.

For my first look, I was off to an evening at the museum. I needed an outfit that was relaxed, so I went for a layered look. I paired my PacSun heathered beige long line tee with my Urban Outfitters plaid shirt. Since it was hot that day, it only made sense to have my plaid shirt act as a layer, instead of buttoning it up. Next, I added my stylish Zara distressed jeans and my New Balance shoes, which allowed me comfort for walking without sacrificing style, because New Balance are the epitome of style comfort.

My second look of the month mixed streetwear with loafers. As high fashion slowly becomes intertwined with street fashion, we’ve seen items like dress shoes and distressed denim become paired. For my look, I paired my Forever 21 plaid shirt and Zara distressed denim with some Sam Edelman loafers. I really felt the loafers paired well with my streetwear infused style. I had made an effort to stay away from loafers, but the tan suede is what sold me!

We are a couple of days away from the official day of fall, but I’m slowly beginning to feel the weather changing. I’m excited for the cooler temperatures, and I can’t wait to share my September looks with you!
