I tried to give some 70s fashion realness to my outfit last Thursday for my company’s yearly summit, which was 70s themed for its 45th anniversary. I enjoy a good theme and I surprisingly had some 70s inspired items in my wardrobe.
I started off with some yellow and black plaid pants from Forever 21. While the pattern is 70s influenced, the cut is a modern straight fit. I paired it with a blue jean button up shirt, which I don’t think was very 70s, but my Forever 21 corduroy trucker jacket made up for it. I finished my look with my white leather Converse. I mean Converse transcend every decade, so it was safe going with them.
While my look wasn’t a 100 percent authentic, the colors, patterns and corduroy do scream 70s. Don’t you just like it when you have clothes in your wardrobe that fits a theme?
A good example of 70’s
