Do you ever wear a new outfit with nowhere to go? That was me on a Monday after work.
I’ve recently tried to cut back on the shopping. With several concerts and a big trip coming up, I got to save up. But when I need to add a little something to my wardrobe, I can always count on Forever 21.
I purchased this green and yellow striped long sleeve and mustard yellow button-front jacket two weekends ago. I intended to wear it in a weekend trip to Austin, but that ended up not happening. So I figured, why not where it on Monday evening?
I paired my new purchase with some acid washed joggers, mustard colored long socks and dove colored Fila Disruptor sneakers.
I would definitely say these new purchases compliment my current wardrobe. What are your thoughts on this look?
I’ve become an unintentional sneaker head in the last few months and my main obsession has become adidas Yeezy sneakers. The Yeezy 700 sneaker is my favorite silhouette, and the static color way has to be the best one yet.
The Yeezy 700 static just slaps. It’s a clean color way that will go with just about everything. The 3m reflective material literally makes the shoe stand out when flash or any light hits it.
I paired my Yeezy 700 static sneakers with a mostly all black outfit. I started off with some Urban Outfitters black joggers, put on a Forever 21 striped long sleeve tee and a distressed lack denim jacket. The dark toned outfit went well with the gloomy weather and the shoes gave my outfit a pop.
I tried to give some 70s fashion realness to my outfit last Thursday for my company’s yearly summit, which was 70s themed for its 45th anniversary. I enjoy a good theme and I surprisingly had some 70s inspired items in my wardrobe.
I started off with some yellow and black plaid pants from Forever 21. While the pattern is 70s influenced, the cut is a modern straight fit. I paired it with a blue jean button up shirt, which I don’t think was very 70s, but my Forever 21 corduroy trucker jacket made up for it. I finished my look with my white leather Converse. I mean Converse transcend every decade, so it was safe going with them.
While my look wasn’t a 100 percent authentic, the colors, patterns and corduroy do scream 70s. Don’t you just like it when you have clothes in your wardrobe that fits a theme?
I was going through my photos and found this photo shoot I did a few months back and hadn’t shared. It seems to have been toward the end of fall when the temperature fell just a bit, so a t-shirt and plaid shirt combination was ok to wear. The winter hasn’t been harsh in south Texas, but a light jacket is usually needed each day at the moment.
I paired my plaid and tee with some Zara torn skinny jeans and some cool shoes I haven’t really featured. As some of you know, I’ve been obsessed with chunky dad sneakers and these Puma Thunder Electric sneakers are pretty cool. They have the chunk ones to them, but have a modern look to them. If you’re not into a vintage dad sneaker than this is the one for you.
I’m enjoying the winter weather but miss fall. How is your winter going?
Do you ever dress in colors to match the day’s weather? This past Saturday was a gloomy day, and I felt it was only appropriate to wear monochrome colors.
I started my outfit with my pants. I’ve been trying to integrate more trouser and slacks into my outfits, so I went with some checkered houndstooth trousers from Zara. I added the hints of streetwear with an oversized black sweatshirt from Target and topped off my look with my Yeezy 500 ‘salt’ sneakers.
The muted colors went with an uneventful and gloomy Saturday. It doesn’t hurt to play with fashion or to dress up, even if it’s just to go grab a bite to eat.
I started off my New Year’s Eve with a new pair of shoes, the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 ‘static’. I originally did not want the cop this pair. I entered a raffle on Sneakersnstuff on a whim and didn’t think I would be picked. I was so wrong. I had already won two raffles with them before, and what we’re the chances I’d get picked again? Apparently, a pretty good chance.
The shoes arrived a few hours before 2019, and I wore them for the last day of the year. I instantly fell in love. I have two other pairs of the Yeezy 350 v2, and these are officially my favorites. Not only out of my pair, but out of all the ones that have been released.
The see through mesh and the pattern of the prime knit are a welcomed change to the shoe. The shoe is monochromatic and can go with just about anything. I paired my shoes with some white socks and a white perforated to give it DKNY jacket to compliment the shoes and went with some DKNY black joggers and a solid green tee for contrast.
If you thought about copping this pair and didn’t, I totally recommend getting it if you don’t mind paying resell value. What are your thoughts on the shoe? Like them? Hate them? Think they’re overhyped?
I’m obsessed with my latest purchase — sequin shorts! I recently did some online shopping on Urban Outfitters and stumbled upon some sequin trimmed tricot shorts. I wasn’t sure about the purchase but as soon as I saw them in person, I fell in love. The sequin trimming is just right. Had the entire short been made out of sequin, I probably wouldn’t have bought.
I totally recommend them! If you’re looking for cute casual shorts to add to your wardrobe, consider buying them before they run out!
