For the last few years, the dad effect has taken over men’s streetwear and has found its way into my wardrobe. From the look of my photos, I obviously don’t know how to act! I love the dad fit, especially dad jeans! In my featured weekend look, I wore some BDG light wash torn dad jeans from Urban Outfitters, which I totally recommend. The relaxed cut with a tapered leg is a perfect medium between skinny and straight.

I was wanting a basic look with a pop of color, so I paired my dad jeans with an orange long sleeve T-shirt from PacSun. The orange color was perfect for a sunny Saturday!

The sunny day called for a cap, so I went with my boyfriend’s Kim Petras pink dad hat, which added another pop of color!

Finishing off my look, I went with a pair of white hi-top Converse, because they are iconic and timeless and definitely complimented my cool dad aesthetic. Once I laced up my shoes, I was ready for a fantastic day out and about with my boyfriend.

It’s been a hot, hot summer in Texas. The 100+ degree weather can make it hard to dress cute and not want rip off your clothes halfway through your day. Fortunately, I took a few photos before calling it a day on a sunny Saturday.

I’ve been obsessed with stripes for quite sometime. When I came upon a multicolored striped shirt from Urban Outfitters, I had to buy it. The orange, red, yellow and blue stripe combination are perfect for the summer.

I paired my stripes shirt with another current obsession of mine, dad jeans. Yes, I said dad jeans. I’ve stayed loyal to skinny jeans for more than 8 years, but I tried on a pair of dad fit jeans at Urban, and I liked the fit. They aren’t baggy or loose fitting, but the fit isn’t a tight as skinny jeans. I recommend them if you’re looking to change up the fit of your jeans.
