Hi. Hello. A couple of months ago, December to be exact, I got my first pair of Commes des Garcons Play x Converse sneakers. I mean, I’ve always been a Converse fan since I was in middle school. When I discovered that they collaborated with Commes des Garcons Play, I had to get them. So I did what any normal adult would do, I added them to my Christmas list, and my boyfriend got them for me! Haha.
They became my favorite pair of shoes the minute I put them on. The Play heart logo makes the shoe a statement piece, and the quality is better than your typical Converse. The brand uses its Chuck 70s for the collab, which uses quality material.
I paired the high-top sneakers with a pair of Urban Outfitters jeans, and a yellow suede button-up I purchased at Forever 21 a few years back. I ended up with the dressiest outfit I’ve put together in a while. Blame it on the pandemic and the freelance life.
Do you have a pair of Commes des Garcons Play x Converse sneakers, or will you be purchasing a pair soon?
After surviving the Texas winter storm, I was longing for warmer temperatures. Well, warmer temperatures are finally here and I’m ready from the looks of it. Last week, I was feeling myself and took these photos. I wore a yellow and purple striped tee from Forever 21 and mismatched it with some of my favorite shorts from Urban Outfitters. I finished the look off with a pink Kim Petras hat and my Adidas shoes.
Yes, it is a mismatched look but somehow it works in my eyes… at least for a casual outing on the porch.
Hi. Hello. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything fashion related, but we are dealing with a panorama (pandemic). My love for fashion has not waned, my recent Saint Laurent purchase are proof of that, but there have only been a few occasions for me to dress up and go out like I used to.
Last night, the feeling of sadness definitely hit me hard. I knew I had to change my mood, so I channeled that into putting an outfit together and taking some pictures. Enter channeling 90s fashion!
The outfit consist of my Lady Gaga ‘Rain on Me’ T-shirt, Urban Outfitters joggers, and the OG Yeezy 700 Waverunners. The pieces aren’t vintage but they channel the 90s. I mean… fashion is recycled, so it shouldn’t be a total surprise that current fashion would be influenced by decades past.
Now, here’s to hoping this outfit is still in fashion when I wear it for a significant occasion.
This past weekend, I got bored again while in quarantine and decided to raid my closet and take pictures of whatever outfit I was able to put together. I tried looking at what I hadn’t worn in a while… before COVID.
The cheetah short sleeve shirt was the stand out of the group. I recall buying it years ago, like 8 or so years ago at a PacSun. It’s always stuck with me, but for some reason, I never really wanted to wear it out. There was many reasons for this, I’m prone to uneven tans, so my body always never matched my face, neck and arms. I also didn’t like how it looked on me when I was heavier.
I remember the first time I actually wore it out was a year ago for The 1975 concert in Austin. It was hot and I thought it would be good to use it. Anyway, this is probably my second time actually wearing. Of course, it’s not like I really went anywhere in it. I just put it on for my little photoshoot.
While my look is pretty relaxed and a bit basic, it’s fitting for a weekend in quarantine. I paired my shirt with the same shorts I wore to The 1975 concert. Really, the only difference between the two looks are the socks, shoes and the 20 plus pounds gone.
I’m not opposed to wearing this look out to brunch in the future. Maybe a wild themed brunch?
With the pandemic going on, there hasn’t been much reason for me to dress up. But quarantine boredom has struck me these past few weeks, and I’ve felt the need to take a look at my closet and think of outfits I want to wear when this is all over. Looking at my wardrobe, I’ve realized how much clothes I have that has to been worn. I’ll admit that some of the reason I haven’t worn clothes is because I’ve bought items with the intention of wearing it when I started feeling good about my body. And I’m finally here! I’m comfortable with myself and why not start featuring my looks?
In this featured look, I’m wearing a cute color block rayon button up shirt I purchased at Forever 21 in the fall. I remember trying this shirt on in-store and loving the way it looked on me. This shirt really screams spring/summer and with the pandemic there has been no reason to really wear this shirt. I guess maybe the next time I go grocery shopping? I definitely see myself wearing this for a brunch get together with friends.
I paired the shirt with some paint splattered black dad jeans from Urban Outfitters and my white hi-top leather Converse. Here’s looking forward to the day I can wear this outfit anywhere but my apartment.
These past months have not given much reason to dress up for anything. I’m usually in the same tee and shorts throughout the day. The times I do need to go to the office for work, I’ll dress appropriately.
However, I had Friday off and figured I’d dress up and take a couple of photos of an outfit I would wear out if I could. My featured T-shirt hasn’t really seen much wear. I bought it about two years ago at Forever 21 and ended up not liking it on myself. I guess at that time, I was dealing with some body issues. I’m in a better place now, and I definitely liked the way the tee looked on me.
I decided to pair my striped tee with a pair of torn skinny jeans from Zara. Tucked in the tee and rolled the sleeves, which was my boyfriend’s idea and finished the look off with my white leather hi-top converse. I fell in love with this look, and I can’t wait for a time to be able to wear it out. Maybe a fall brunch? Who knows.
If you like the tee, I don’t think Forever 21 has it anymore, but I did find another striped tee I liked, if you want to check it out.
Let me know your thoughts on my outfit and tell me what you can’t wait to wear come the end of quarantine.
We’re at the midpoint in 2020 and we’re still dealing with coronavirus. With this going on, there haven’t been many outings for me that didn’t involve grocery shopping or heading to the gym. So I haven’t put much efforts into my outfits. But over the weekend, I felt like putting something together. Now, I know my outfit isn’t groundbreaking, but it’s definitely a step up from the wrinkled tee and shorts I use to head down to the corner store.
For this look, I brought neon and houndstooth together for a street wear look. I purchased my Zara neon tee from Buffalo Outlet. Thrift finds are usually one in a million, but I’m sure you can get a Zara neon tee from a Zara store. I paired the tee with my Houndstooth joggers, I purchased at Urban Outfitters about a year ago. I haven’t seen this type of jogger recently on their website, but I’m sure come fall there might be a similar style. I finished the look with my hi-tip white leather Converse.
While I didn’t end up going anywhere in this outfit, I loved putting together the look. With the pandemic going on, what’s been your go-to quarantine fashion? Are you putting efforts into outfits when you go out?
From the coronavirus pandemic to the current fight to end police brutality and systematic racism, the year has brought some challenges our way. Due to the current state of things, I haven’t found it appropriate to blog about fashion. But as the days have progressed, I’ve found that I need to put energy into things I like in order to feel some sort of happiness during this time.
I’ve started my road to happiness with the creation of my YouTube channel Guys Loves Bravo TV, and now I think it’s time to start up my fashion blog again. While I can’t guarantee a blog every week, as outings into town are still very scarce, I will guarantee fashion blog content more frequently than I’ve currently been posting.
Let me start off with featuring my Kim Petra’s pink T-shirt. I bought it a few months ago on Kim’s website. She released it for a limited time and that made me want it even more. It’s definitely the cool shot of her serving a look that makes the shirt. While I haven’t been able to wear the shirt out yet, I figured I’d take a look at my wardrobe and see what I could pair it with. I ended up liking how it looked with my torn sad jeans from Urban Outfitters and my Converses.
It was definitely a must for my wardrobe and I’m glad I bought it. What are your thoughts on my Kim Petra’s T-shirt? Do you like it or is it a no?
The first official day of Spring is over a month away, but my wardrobe is starting to show hints of spring already. It’s partially due to the Texas weather, but I figured I’d take this time to talk about one of the big trends I’ll be rocking for Spring 2020: Bold solid colored T-shirt.
In the past, I strayed away from solid tees that weren’t black, navy blue, dark green or grey. I always felt self-conscious with how fitted pastel or light colored solid tees looked on me. But now, I’m in a place where I’m comfortable with how fitted tees fit my body.
My look had me ready for the fun weekend ahead! I can definitely see myself rocking the solid tees and dad jeans with a variety of Spring worthy colors. With the bloomy season coming in a few weeks, will you be rocking bold colors?
For the last few years, the dad effect has taken over men’s streetwear and has found its way into my wardrobe. From the look of my photos, I obviously don’t know how to act! I love the dad fit, especially dad jeans! In my featured weekend look, I wore some BDG light wash torn dad jeans from Urban Outfitters, which I totally recommend. The relaxed cut with a tapered leg is a perfect medium between skinny and straight.
I was wanting a basic look with a pop of color, so I paired my dad jeans with an orange long sleeve T-shirt from PacSun. The orange color was perfect for a sunny Saturday!
The sunny day called for a cap, so I went with my boyfriend’s Kim Petras pink dad hat, which added another pop of color!
Finishing off my look, I went with a pair of white hi-top Converse, because they are iconic and timeless and definitely complimented my cool dad aesthetic. Once I laced up my shoes, I was ready for a fantastic day out and about with my boyfriend.
With the dad style here and showing no signs of going anywhere, are you embracing it?
