I was going through my photos and found this photo shoot I did a few months back and hadn’t shared. It seems to have been toward the end of fall when the temperature fell just a bit, so a t-shirt and plaid shirt combination was ok to wear. The winter hasn’t been harsh in south Texas, but a light jacket is usually needed each day at the moment.
I paired my plaid and tee with some Zara torn skinny jeans and some cool shoes I haven’t really featured. As some of you know, I’ve been obsessed with chunky dad sneakers and these Puma Thunder Electric sneakers are pretty cool. They have the chunk ones to them, but have a modern look to them. If you’re not into a vintage dad sneaker than this is the one for you.
I’m enjoying the winter weather but miss fall. How is your winter going?
This past weekend didn’t consist of any craziness and it was much needed. While I love heading out for a fun, crazy night, sometimes a quiet weekend doesn’t hurt. On a chill Saturday evening, I took a stroll around my neighborhood, and I figured I’d take a couple of photos of my cute outfit.
I started my Saturday outfit with a basic mustard colored tee from Forever 21, which was only $9.90. I paired my tee with some dark blue skinny jeans from H&M. I decided to give my dad sneakers a break and went with my white hi-top Converse from Urban Outfitters. It was a cool night, so I topped my look with an oversized distressed black jean jacket from Forever 21.
My outfit was perfect for a cool night. Ever dressed up just cause?
Do you ever dress in colors to match the day’s weather? This past Saturday was a gloomy day, and I felt it was only appropriate to wear monochrome colors.
I started my outfit with my pants. I’ve been trying to integrate more trouser and slacks into my outfits, so I went with some checkered houndstooth trousers from Zara. I added the hints of streetwear with an oversized black sweatshirt from Target and topped off my look with my Yeezy 500 ‘salt’ sneakers.
The muted colors went with an uneventful and gloomy Saturday. It doesn’t hurt to play with fashion or to dress up, even if it’s just to go grab a bite to eat.
I’m obsessed with my latest purchase — sequin shorts! I recently did some online shopping on Urban Outfitters and stumbled upon some sequin trimmed tricot shorts. I wasn’t sure about the purchase but as soon as I saw them in person, I fell in love. The sequin trimming is just right. Had the entire short been made out of sequin, I probably wouldn’t have bought.
I totally recommend them! If you’re looking for cute casual shorts to add to your wardrobe, consider buying them before they run out!
Every year I buy sweaters I don’t need, and every year I tell myself to stop. Guess how this year is going? Same. Only this time, I’m sticking to thrift store sweaters.
I’ve been obsessed with 80s dad sweaters and there’s no better place to find them than a thrift store. I found this cool purple oversized sweater from a local thrift store for only $5. The sweater’s purple with hints of turquoise and pink was perfect on a cold rainy day.
If you’re looking to stock up on sweaters, I definitely recommend thrift stores. Especially, if you’re looking for vintage sweaters!
It’s a cool and rainy day in San Antonio. It finally feels like fall is here, so I had to bring out the fall fashion with fall colors.
For the top portion of my look, I started with a red brick colored T-shirt and layered it with a mustard colored corduroy jacket. I got both pieces from Forever 21. The jacket is sold out but you can find a similar one at ASOS. The colors definitely compliment each other and they say fall!
I went with my dad fit jeans and these cool Fila x Pierre Cardin Disruptor shoes. You can find the jeans and shoes at Urban Outfitters. I wasn’t sure about the polka dot shoes at first, but I’ve been about dad shoes lately, and I figured why not?
What colors and pieces are you excited to wear for fall?
The Yeezy Boost 700 Mauve was hyped for so long and while it didn’t sell out in an hour, it didn’t disappoint. At least not for me.
The shoe has a very unique mixture of black, brown, purple and electric green. The combination sounds a little crazy but it totally works. The earthy shades are perfect for fall and winter.
I paired my Yeezy Boost 700 Mauve shoes with some torn black skinny jeans from Zara and an oversized grey sweater from Target. I’d usually stick to black or white shoes with an outfit like this, but the Yeezys definitely work.
Do I love these shoes? Yes. Do I think people who were turned off by the colors missed out? Absolutely. The 700 silhouette serves the chunky dad shoe realness that’s in right now. While the color is typical, that’s what makes it a must-have!
What are your thoughts on the Yeezy Boost 700 in Mauve?
