Growing up in the 90s, I recall logo tees and designer jeans being the “in thing”. That trend has been making it’s comeback for the last few years. I see the old logo tees my older brother was rocking in the ’90s all over the place. From Tommy Hilfiger to Guess, you can’t escape it! And after making my most recent purchase, I’ll admit that I don’t want this trend to ever end!
As I was walking at my local mall, I saw this black Guess oversized logo tee that I needed in my life. When I tried it on, I fell in love. The look and fit was perfect!
This past weekend, I had to take my new shirt for a ride, and I had no regrets about making this purchase. I paired my oversized tee with a new pair of Zara torn skinny jeans, my favorite Chucks and my tan suede cap.
If you’re into oversized tee like me, I recommend adding this throwback into your collection. As a ’90s kid, I’m loving this trend, and you can expect to see me rocking it throughout the season.
Now, let me find the perfect pair of acid jeans!
I live for the weekends! Even more so for the weekend wear. Having a regular 9 to 6 that requires business attire can do that to you. It can be easy to ditch the workwear for sweats, but when heading out with your friends, try adding a couple of these pieces I can’t live without for your fall weekend wear.
Flannels have been a stable for me since freshman year of high school (10 years ago). You can’t go wrong with a flannel, but instead of buttoning it up, use it as a layer. As temperature slowly drop, layering your clothes can be a better option than going HAM with sweaters in 70 degree weather.
With my recent obsession of longer length tees, I recommend trying them out. Honestly, I’ve never been a big fan of wearing a plain crew neck T-shirt, but longer length tees have changed my mind. They are more fashionable than typical plain shirts, and they look pretty good layered with a flannel. Find 2 for $30 at Pac Sun. They have a variety of colors and patterns that you can mix and match.
Pair your flannel and tee with a good pair of torn jeans. Now I know a good pair of jeans can cost a fortune nowadays, but getting the right pair can be a fashion investment. Zara has a great variety of fashion denim that are similar to what you see on the runway, but don’t have that crazy price tag. Their denim is actually more affordable than brands like True Religion or 7 for all Mankind. Purchase a pair of Zara jeans and take your weekend wear to the next level.
Finish off your weekend look with a good pair of shoes and accessories. For my look I went with some white leather converse, also known as my old faithfuls. Go this route or try a pair of boots. Complete the look with your favorite hat and watch, and your read for the weekend!
A plain T-shirt is an essential that will never go out of style. However, sometimes we need something that will make us stand out of the crowd. Now usually the alternative has been a graphic tee, but printed tees have recently been growing in popularity.
With spring just around the corner, I challenge all the men that have stayed away from printed tees to buy at least one. Just like any plain tee, the printed shirt can be styled in a variety of ways. Pair them with torn jeans, chinos, or shorts and add on a bomber, leather, or jean jacket, respectively.
The one rule I have about wearing a printed tee is that you don’t want to mix patterns. Let your printed tee do all the talking and go with solid colors when picking shorts, pants, or outerwear.
If you like my houndstooth printed tee you can find similar ones on Topman. They have a variety of printed tees year round ranging from $25 to $40.
